Girls Lacrosse of San Jose will hold introductory clinics on Oct. 26 and Nov. 16 at the Kirk Community Center, 1601 Foxworthy Ave. Clinics will run from 13 p.m. for middle school girls and 34:30 p.m. for high school girls. Lacrosse, a non-contact sport played with webbed sticks, is relatively new in this area. Leland is one of the few area schools to field a girls team, and the San Jose Extreme is a team that was formed for girls in grades five through eight. Former Leland coach Michelle Reiss and Extreme coach Jessica Paige will lead the Saturday clinics. The cost is $10 and equipment will be provided. For more information, visit http://www.sjextreme.org or email John Fensterwald at john@sjextreme.org.
