Alternative medicine enthusiast MaryEllen Lovell believes that "God put a plant on this earth for every illness there is." Her 12-year-old Boston terrier, Mikey, has a five-centimeter tumor lodged in his chest, which led Lovell to the Campbell Pet Clinic and to Dr. Walter McCall. McCall offers holistic veterinary medicine for animals with chronic, incurable diseases. Lovell had been told at a traditional veterinary hospital that Mikey had anywhere from three days to three weeks to live.
