    Police Blotter

    Attempted Robbery--Feb. 19, 9:30 a.m. A 17-year-old male slid under a partially open garage door on Connie Drive. He was confronted by the property owner and fled through the back of the garage. Authorities searched and located the juvenile at Hazel Avenue. The youth had an outstanding warrant for escaping from a boy's juvenile detention camp and for auto theft. The youth also admitted to attempting to rob a home on the previous day when confronted by authorities and being positively identified by a witness, who saw the youth enter the house.

    Car Break-In--Feb. 20, 8:30-10:15 a.m. An unknown suspect entered a car by unknown means at Gold's Gym on Hamilton Avenue.

    Robbery--Feb. 20, 5 p.m. An unknown suspect smashed a car's right rear passenger window on Union Avenue and stole a stereo, walkman and sunglasses.

    Theft--Feb. 20, 5 p.m. A 19-year-old male entered a store on E. Campbell Avenue and stole a comic book. He was cited.

    Forgery--Feb. 21. A suspect stole blank checks from a victim on Fairlands Avenue and forged the victim's signature. The incident occurred Feb. 19.

    Theft--Feb. 22, 2-2:30 p.m. An unknown suspect stole a PlayStation game console that was delivered by UPS to a residence on Dunster Drive.

    Theft--Feb. 22, 2-3 p.m. A woman left her wallet in the phone booth at a gas station on E. Hamilton Avenue and a suspect stole it.

    Shoplifting--Feb. 22, 10:02 p.m. A 22-year-old female was caught shoplifting at a grocery store on W. Campbell Avenue.

    Battery and Vandalism--Feb. 23, 1:19 a.m. Two 20-year-old males were fighting at a bar on Orchard City Drive. During the fight, one man punched the other in the mouth, and the other man responded by breaking the man's car turn signal. One man was booked for physical assault and the other was cited for damaging a car.

    Theft--Feb. 23, 5 p.m.-9 a.m. An unknown suspect broke into a window on the east side of a school building on Sheffield Court and stole a computer.

    Driving Intoxicated--Feb. 25, 3:05 a.m. A 36-year-old female was stopped at the intersection of Hamilton and Winchester avenues for weaving between lanes. She was intoxicated and booked for driving and drinking at the same time.
