    Police Blotter

    Vexing Ex--April 25, 9:41 p.m. Police received a call that a 25-year-old San Jose man was following his ex-girlfriend. They located the man in the parking lot of the Safeway at Campbell Plaza and arrested him for driving under the influence.

    Broken Glass--April 25, 11:07 p.m. A wife was upset about her husband's drug use so she threw a glass at him and slapped him. The husband left the home for the evening and gave police his rifle for safekeeping. Neither wished to prosecute.

    Dizzy Driver--April 26, 9:51 p.m. A 24-year-old San Jose man was cited and released for doing donuts in his car in the parking lot next to Tower Records on Bascom Avenue. Debris from the activity resulted in damage to several nearby vehicles.

    Change of Heart--April 26, 1:30 a.m. An intoxicated 49-year-old woman broke the front window of her boyfriend's apartment, because she was upset that he was seeing other women. Police cited her. At 2 a.m., her 44-year-old boyfriend returned to his apartment to find that police were investigating the break-in. He was intoxicated and refused to follow police instructions, attempting to flee the area on foot, so he was booked.

    Sizzling Sinks--April 26. Someone started fires in both of the sinks of the girl's bathroom at Jack Fisher Park, causing the sinks to crack from the heat. There are no suspects or witnesses.

    Mysterious Visitor--April 28, 6 p.m. A resident on Railway Avenue reported hearing someone enter her apartment through a sliding glass door as she sat in her bed. She did not see the person, but reported the incident to Atlas Security and a maintenance worker before calling the police.

    Shadow Boxer--April 29, 12:19 p.m. An intoxicated 47-year-old male was booked, after police observed him staggering down the street and boxing with a light pole.

    Railroad Run-in--April 29, 1:15 p.m. A 16-year-old male reported that a white male, wearing a blue flannel short sleeve shirt and blue jeans demanded his wallet as he walked along the railroad tracks near Hamilton Avenue. When the victim put up a fight, the suspect cut him several times with a box knife. No medical attention was necessary and the suspect was not found.
