Police Blotter
Boys and Booze--April 30, 8:55 p.m. Two boys, 15 and 17, were drinking beer in the parking lot of a fast-food restaurant on W. Campbell Avenue. They were cited for possessing beer.
Runaway Thief--April 30, 8:37 p.m. A 34-year-old San Jose woman was in a gas station on W. Hamilton Avenue when a man grabbed her keys and fled on foot westbound on Hamilton. The woman had put her keys on the counter when the man took them. The suspect is described as a white male, aged 30-35 years, about 5-foot-2, and weighing 140 pounds. The suspect was last seen wearing a baseball cap, white T-shirt and tan shorts.
Wrist Wrenching--April 30, 7:18 p.m. A suspect grabbed a female victim by the wrist and pushed her out the front door. The victim complained that her wrist was injured. The case was sent to the DA's office.
Ready to Rumble--April 29, 2:40 a.m. A victim at a residence on Dot Avenue called 911 to report that a male suspect was attacking her. When police arrived, they found the suspect hiding upstairs in his room. Both denied any physical contact and could not explain things "strewn about." No one had injuries, and told police they would cease fighting, and asked them to leave. The police had walked about 20 feet from the door when they heard the couple fighting again. The officers forced entry and chased the suspect upstairs, where he was arrested.
Breaking the Habit--April 28, 10:58 a.m. Two men ran into a business on W. Hamilton Avenue and took a case of cigarettes. They ran out of the store, fleeing in a red Datsun 280ZX. The first suspect is described as a black male aged 28-33, 6-foot-3, weighing 215 pounds, with a thin mustache. He was last seen wearing a white jacket and black sweat pants. The second suspect is described as 25-30 years old, 5-foot-8 to 5-foot-11, weighing 175-195 pounds. He was last seen wearing a white T-shirt and pants.
Really Drunk and Disorderly--May 1. A San Jose man caused a disturbance in a bar on S. Winchester Boulevard. He challenged other patrons to fight and also urinated in a potted plant in the patio area of the bar. After being thrown out, the man fell off his bicycle before police arrived. He was booked.
