Instead of a tax break, here's a wish list for a healthy nation

Americans who have yet to pay income taxes and those of us who do not receive wages-for-work, would fall further behind by the Republican-proposed tax cuts.

Tax cuts for any of this year's workers discriminates against all workers of all the yesteryears.

In those years, taxes were paid toward eliminating the deficit and reaching balanced budgets that grew the surpluses.

Instead of tax cuts, a neighborly tax surplus wish list could include repair of Social Security; reducing the national debt; upgrading public school structures.

The nation could use more screens against domestic and foreign terrorists; reducing special-interest campaign financing.

What about stopping the manufacture, sale and possession of civilian munitions capable of penetrating police vests; and making basic medical coverage more available.
