All-comers meets
The Los Gatos All-Comers track and field meets will be held each Thursday through Aug. 12 at the high school track. The entry fee is $3 for unlimited events in the open, high school boys, women's, girls, and master men's divisions.
The pole vault event begins at 5 p.m., with other field events (long jump, shot put, high jump, triple jump and discus) beginning at 5:30 p.m. Track events begin at 6 p.m.
The fee for spectators is $2.
Girls hoop tourney
The first annual Los Gatos Basketball Tournament for girls varsity and junior varsity is set for July 9-11. All teams are guaranteed four games, and the entry fee is $250 per team.
There will be three-on-three competition, a three-point shootout and free throw contests, and the event is open to all girls entering grades nine-12.

San Jose State Baseball Camp
Fundamentals of the game of baseball will be stressed when San Jose State University baseball coach Sam Piraro hosts the annual San Jose State Baseball Summer Camps.
Piraro and his coaching staff will join with area high school and junior college coaches as instructors at the camps that will be conducted on the San Jose State practice fields.
The camps are open to players ages 6-16, with special hitting and pitching camps slated for players ages 12-17 in later sessions. All campers receive a T-shirt, and there will be daily scrimmages and group drills. There will also be player evaluations and special awards.
Sessions include:
* July 19-23-- 10 a.m.-1 p.m., for ages 6-16, $90 per camper;
* July 26-30-- 10 a.m.-1 p.m., for ages 6-16, $90 per camper;
* Aug. 2-6-- 11 a.m.-1 p.m., pitching camp for players ages 12-17, $125 per camper; 2-4 p.m., hitting camp for players ages 12-17, $125 per camper (or attend both sessions for $200).

Basketball camp
Basketball Basics, a fundamentals basketball camp for girls in grades 5-8, will be held at Westmont High School July 12-23 under the direction of girls basketball coach Jerry Pettit.
Camp hours are 8 a.m.-noon for players in grades 5-6, and 1-5 p.m. for players in grades 7-8. The cost is $165.
