    Concert series continues with Blu Crocodiles at City Green

    Elephant Bar has portions big enough for, well, an elephant

    Campbell's Summer Concert series continues this Thursday night with Blu Crocodiles Rock & Roll band playing old rock favorites at the Orchard City Green. The concert, from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., will be held on the green between city hall and the Campbell Library. Bring a picnic or buy a polish sausage and help support the Campbell Historical Museum and Ainsley House.

    If you're searching for a different kind of a gift to give a special someone, check out Patrice D'Artiste Galerie & Boutique. This jewel of a store is tucked away among the many antique shops at The Courtyard at 305 Campbell Ave. A peek in the window shows a little Parisian-style store of art glass, vases, lamps, jewelry and handmade shawls. Store hours vary, call before visiting at 408.370.1995.

    For an afternoon of scones and tea, Lisa's Tea Treasures in the PruneYard offers a quick escape from work and the kids. Connoisseurs of all British high tea can select from 100 different kinds of teas and nibble on goat cheese and sun-dried tomato sandwiches, salads and pastry treats.

    For little ladies in training, there are children's tea parties where girls are given a primer on tea etiquette. The Victorian tea room also has a gift shop. The store is open everyday. For tea hours and reservations, call 408.371.7377.

    For more manly dining, the big portions at the Elephant Bar Restaurant are sure to satisfy the hungriest of appetites. Located right at the Hamilton Avenue exit of Highway 17, this happy hour hot spot has a full restaurant where diners sit under palm trees and waterfalls while diving into mammoth plates of seafood, steaks, barbecue ribs and hearty pastas.
