Mapping the human genome

Host families needed for teens from France

I need a miracle! I need help finding American families who would like to provide homes for French teenage boys, ages 15 to 18, for four weeks this summer beginning in August. About 10 families are needed for the program. The students, who are expecting to come to the Silicon Valley area, will arrive with full medical insurance, their own spending money and English skills. They are thrilled about the opportunity to live in America--they have heard about the friendly people and beautiful places and they can't wait to be a part of it for a few weeks.

I'm having trouble finding families who have the time or the interest to be a part of this program. Why? Aren't we willing to share some of ourselves with young people, who, like all of us, have hopes and dreams they want to achieve? They would be so grateful just to be here, to meet you, your neighbors and friends and to be a part of your family for just a few short weeks.

Families that are interested in helping can call me at 408.720.1843 in the evening, or 408.748.1611 during the day.
