    Police Blotter

    Hunger Panes--Aug. 26, 2 a.m. A twentysomething male kicked out the front window of the Wienerschnitzel on S. Bascom Avenue and then fled the scene.

    Pot-head Plant--Aug. 24, 8:30 p.m. During a parole search, police officers noticed a 4-foot marijuana plant growing in the parolee's backyard. The suspect admitted to cultivating the plant himself. The case was sent to the district attorney.

    Sibling Rivalry--Aug. 22, 3 p.m. A 43-year-old suspect grabbed his 41-year-old sister by the wrists because, according to the police report, "she would not stop swearing." The case was sent to the district attorney.

    Rain Check--Aug. 21, 6:30 p.m. An unknown suspect threw a brick through the driver's side window of a '96 Ford Ranger and took a raincoat from the seat.

    Take a Walk, Man--Aug. 21, 2 p.m. A 35-year-old man took a Sony Walkman from Fry's Electronics on E. Hamilton Avenue.

    Hole in One--Aug. 21, 4:17 a.m. An unknown suspect assaulted a '95 VW Golf, breaking the window and the locking mechanism. Nothing was taken from the car.

    Playing Traffic Cop--Aug. 27, 10:30 a.m. A man was standing at the Highway 17/East Hamilton Avenue onramp jumping around and screaming at drivers. The suspect was taken into custody by Emergency Protective Services.

    Identity Crisis--Aug. 26, 10:50 a.m. A 21-year-old man was arrested after police found six grams of methamphetamine, a crack pipe, marijuana and several false IDs in his car. The suspect apparently used the identification to "fraudulently obtain a loan" in San Jose.
