Local high-tech firm makes Fast 50 list

Campbell-based DeVries Data Systems Inc. was recently named eighth out of 50 companies in Deloitte and Touche's 1999 Silicon Valley Technology Fast 50 program. Founded in 1994, DeVries, a Windows platform specialist, provides its services to clients around the country. Winners were picked on percentage of revenue growth during the past five years; overall, companies in the Fast 50 had an average growth of 24,307 percent.

"Being recognized among the Fast 50 is a significant endorsement of our team's commitment to the industry, the company, and its technology vision," said owner Greg deVries.

In 1998, the company was picked third among fastest growing private companies in Northern California by the San Jose Business Journal. In addition to the award from Deloitte and Touche, DeVries was also ranked 29th fastest growing Windows ISV in North America by Microsoft Corporation last year.
