Field hockey camp Del Mar will host a beginning field hockey camp for girls in the sixth through ninth grades June 25-27, 9 a.m. to noon each day. Lacrosse clinic A lacrosse clinic for girls entering the sixth through eighth grades in the fall will be held June 8, 10 a.m. to noon, at Leland High School in San Jose. The cost for the clinic is $6, and equipment will be provided. Girls should bring water, and a mouthguard is recommended. Lacrosse, played with webbed sticks, is a sport that requires speed and agility. For more information, call John Fensterwald at 408-265-2224. SJSU camps San Jose State University baseball coach Sam Piraro will head up the annual SJSU summer baseball camps for players ages 6-17 again this summer. Sessions include comprehensive camps on July 8-12 and July 22-26, 10 a.m.-1 p.m. each day, for players ages 6-16. The cost is $110 per player, and camps are limited to the first 75 players. Specialty camps are slated for July 29- Aug. 2 (pitching camp for ages 12-17, 10 a.m. - noon, and hitting camp for ages 9-17, 1-3 p.m.). The cost is $125 per player (both sessions $200), and camps are limited to the first 25 campers. All campers receive a free T-shirt, and there will be camper evaluations and special awards. Call 408-924-1262 or 408-924-1287. All-sports camp Santa Clara University will host its Summer All-Sports Camp for children with a "sincere interest in sports and outdoor recreation." Camps will begin July 14 and Aug. 11 for resident campers and July 15 and Aug. 12 for day campers. Sports offered will include baseball, basketball, volleyball, soccer, tennis and more.
