Residential Burglary—Nov. 9, 9 p.m.­midnight. An electric garage door opener was stolen from a locked car on Redding Road and used to enter a 34-year-old woman's garage. A laptop computer and a Persian rug were stolen from the garage.

Battery—Nov. 9, 3:50 p.m. A 40-year-old man was eating in a restaurant on Hamilton Avenue when an unknown person punched the man in the face for no apparent reason, then fled. The assault caused swelling under the victim's eye. The suspect is described as a Hispanic man in his 20s, approximately 6 feet 2 inches, weighing 210 pounds, with a goatee.

Stolen Vehicle—Nov. 9. A stolen Ford Mustang with a disabled car alarm, a broken steering wheel lock and a tampered ignition was found at the intersection of Rose Court and Jeffers Way. A witness reported seeing four men in their early 20s pushing the stolen car on Nov. 8 and working under the hood at approximately 11:30 p.m. When the witness approached the men, they fled in another car that was parked nearby. The Mustang was parked on W. Rincon Avenue when it was stolen.

Burglary—Nov. 9. An unknown person slashed the top of a 27-year-old woman's convertible on S. Bascom Avenue. The person removed the car's stereo and a tazer gun. The incident occurred between Nov. 8 and 9.

Stolen Vehicle—Nov. 9. A guest staying in a hotel on E. Campbell Avenue left her keys in the door, and an unknown person took the keys and stole her car from the hotel parking lot. The incident occurred on Nov. 8.

Resisting Arrest—Nov. 6, 9:30 p.m. Three 21-year-old men and one 22-year-old man were drinking on some railroad tracks. They climbed over a fence into a yard on Birch Drive, where a resident and a neighbor confronted the men. One of the men was told to wait until the police arrived because he had trespassed. Another man became upset that his friend was being detained and started a fight. When the police arrived, several of the suspects fled. Three of the men were caught and cited.
