Political signs are not allowed on public poles
Thank you for publishing the article on political signs in the Oct. 30 issue of The Campbell Reporter. We in the West San Jose neighborhoods had the same problem with Campbell Union High School District elections.
One of the most blatant campaign violations had to do with the Lou Marotti and Bob Becklund signs for the Campbell Union High School District race. A phone call to Mr. Becklund plus a personal visit to his home with a list of the campaign laws regarding political signage did no good—their signs continued to go up on public poles. Shame on them. As individuals working on behalf of our schoolchildren, they should be the first to respect laws and property rights.
