Police Blotter
Vandalism--Oct. 22, 10 p.m.-6 a.m. An unknown person threw a rock through the back window of a Ford van parked on Burrows Road.
Attempted Theft--Oct. 22, 5:30 p.m. A 23-year-old man was contacted by Campbell police after he attempted to steal some beer after leaving the Oktoberfest. He had an outstanding warrant.
Hit and Run--Oct. 22, 11:15 a.m. A 24-year-old man crashed into two vehicles as he turned right onto Barbano Avenue from Campbell Avenue. He fled after hitting the second vehicle. The driver of the second car followed him to an apartment complex and watched him park his car. When the police arrived, the man was passed out on the couch.
Attempted Auto Theft--Oct. 21, 4 p.m.-8 a.m. An unknown person attempted to steal a Cadillac on S. McGlincy Lane. The door locks and ignition were punched, and the steering column was damaged.
Trespassing and Vandalism--Oct. 21, 1:30 p.m. A man in his mid-20s was seen in a business on S. Bascom Avenue after an employee of the business heard the door being pried open. When the employee confronted the individual, the man said he had entered the wrong business. The door lock, along with several other door locks from numerous businesses in the building, were broken. There was no loss at the time.
Theft--Oct. 19. An unknown person removed a catalytic converter from a Toyota parked on Clover Avenue while the owner was on vacation.
Threatening Phone Calls--Oct. 18. An unknown person made approximately 30 phone calls to a restaurant on Winchester Boulevard threatening to close the business.
