Sheriff's Report
The following incidents were culled from reports filed by deputies at the sheriff's Westside Substation.
Auto Theft--March 21, 11:10 a.m., 20900 block of Stevens Creek Blvd. A car with the keys in the ignition was stolen from a car dealership.
Residential Burglary--March 20, 8:35 p.m., 22400 block of Rancho Ventura. Someone entered the residence and took a guitar, a black leather jacket and various articles of clothing, valued together at $1,000.
Grand Theft--March 22, 7:40 a.m., 10500 block of E. Estates Drive. The victim parked his car in his driveway with the doors unlocked. During the night, someone removed most of the car's interior, as well as various engine parts.
Auto Burglary--March 23, 7:00 p.m., 21200 block of Steven's Creek Blvd. A car in a local community college parking lot had its window broken, and $1,800 worth of miscellaneous items was stolen.
Burglary--March 22, 8 p.m., 7300 block of Fallenleaf Lane. Unknown suspect(s) pried open four washing machine change boxes and removed the quarters inside.
Credit Card Theft, Theft of Identity--March 22, 5:40 p.m., 22100 block of Wallace Drive. Someone from an Internet retail company called the victim about an order the victim didn't make. The victim found that a credit card had possibly been opened in his name.
