Master Gardeners help inmates cope
Elmwood Correctional Facility offers floriculture program to women inmates
|
Despite differences in their reasons for being there, a group of women gets together every Wednesday to tend "a piece of land not so very large," tucked away on the minimum-security women's portion of Elmwood Correctional Facility in Milpitas. The floriculture program is a nonprofit volunteer program comprising a variety of community outreach projects and educational programs.
