Rotary accepting grant proposals for 2001-'02

The Rotary Club of Cupertino is inviting grant proposals from local nonprofit organizations for the 2001-'02 Rotary fiscal year. The Rotary anticipates a single grant of between $25,000 and $50,000 to be awarded in May 2002, following the annual Hanson Permanente/Cupertino Rotary Golf Tournament.

The nonprofit organization selected for 2002 will be featured in the club's publicity as the primary recipient of funds generated by the profits from the tournament. This year's grant was awarded to Cupertino Community Services, for the food closet in its new facility, which will begin construction in September 2001.

Any organization interested in applying for the grant must contact Steve Andrews for further information by Aug. 23. A formal grant request is not required. Call 408.973.1348.
