    Sheriff's Report

    The following incidents were culled from reports filed by deputies at the sheriff's Westside Substation.

    Embezzlement/Burglary--July 7, 11:40 a.m., 10100 block of N. Wolfe Road. A department store employee falsified return transactions for gift receipts amounting to $1,300.

    Credit Card Fraud--July 9, 10:30 a.m., 21200 block of Stevens Creek Blvd. The suspect allegedly stole credit cards from the victim's gym locker, then made purchases at a local department store.

    Institutional Burglary--July 9, 8:00 a.m., 21300 block of Homestead Road. Suspect(s) stole money from the soda machine in the Homestead High School student center.

    Auto Burglary--July 10, 10:40 a.m., 10400 block of Finch Ave. A car stereo, amplifier and two speakers were taken from a vehicle, along with 90 CDs.

    Grand Theft--July 10, 1:15 a.m., 10000 block of S. De Anza Blvd. The suspect was observed stealing a $600 bicycle then was apprehended two blocks from the scene of the crime.

    Attempted Residential Burglary--July 9, 6:15 p.m., 20200 block of Northbrook Square. An unknown suspect attempted to gain access to a home using a screwdriver.

    Burglary--July 9, 3 p.m., 10500 block of Culbertson Drive. The victim put several rings in a jewelry box, but found them missing a few days later. There were no signs of forced entry into the home.
