    Sheriff's Report

    The following incidents were culled from reports filed by deputies at the sheriff's Westside Substation.

    Petty Theft--Aug. 17, 8:30 p.m., 10100 block of N. Wolfe Road. A fanny pack was stolen with contents and cash valued at approximately $250.

    Defrauding an Innkeeper--Aug. 18, 1:30 a.m., Torre at Rodrigues Avenue. Suspect took a cab from East San Jose to Cupertino with no intention of paying the $63 fare. Suspect was arrested for being drunk in public.

    Petty Theft--Aug. 16, 4:40 p.m., 10100 block of Wolfe Road. Three juvenile suspects were arrested for shoplifting at a department store.

    Embezzlement--Aug. 17, 8:15 p.m., 10300 block of N. Wolfe Road. Suspect embezzled over $1,100 in cash in period of over a month while working for victim.

    Petty Theft--Aug. 17, 6:35 p.m., 19000 block of Pruneridge Avenue. Both license plates stolen from victim's vehicle.

    Fraudulent Use of Access Card--Aug. 18, 11 a.m., 11100 block of Palos Verde. Credit card was activated and used without victim's knowledge for approximately $300 in charges.

    Grand Theft/Vandalism--Aug. 19, 11:25 a.m., 20200 block of Lucille Avenue. Four tires and wheels were stolen from vehicle and a window was broken out. No value was reported.

    Vehicle Burglary--Aug. 19, 9:45 p.m., 20900 block of Homestead Road. Suspect broke driver's side wing window of vehicle and stole a cell phone and a Polaroid camera with a value of approximately $300.

    Petty Theft--Aug. 19, 8:50 a.m., 10100 block of N. Wolfe Road. A wallet was taken from a backpack.

    Assault and Battery--Aug. 19, 3:20 p.m., 10100 block of Park Circle West. An argument over rent led to suspect slapping the face of victim.
