Krazy Dazys square dance offers classes for couples
The Krazy Dazys square dance club is offering classes for couples starting Sept. 12, 7-8:30 p.m. The event, co-sponsored by the Cupertino Parks and Recreation Department, offers the first three Wednesdays free of charge.

Memorial Park presents the Moon Festival Sept. 29-30
To promote cross-cultural understanding, the Memorial Park in Cupertino is the venue for the Moon Festival on Sept. 29 and 30 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The Moon Festival, also called Mid-Autumn Festival, is the second largest holiday in Asia after the lunar new year.
The entertainment includes a Chinese fortuneteller, Chinese arts and crafts, lantern making, bilingual books and a keynote speaker. Rita Ng, Miss California 2000 and 2nd runner up to Miss America, will be this year's keynote speaker. Martial art instructor, stunt man and "Leonardo" from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II The Secret of the Ooze, Larry Lam, will be showcasing his martial arts skills. The County sheriff's ofÞce offers equipment to residents
The County sheriff's office is letting residents borrow equipment to identify property and prevent speeding in neighborhoods. Residents can borrow an electronic engraver to mark personal property with a name, in case it gets stolen. They can also borrow a video or digital camera to help police find missing possessions and to report stolen items to an insurance company. Also available are handheld radar devices to document the speed and frequency of passing vehicles in front of schools and on residential streets.
