    Sheriff's Report

    The following incidents were culled from reports filed by deputies at the sheriff's Westside Substation.

    Grand Theft of Property--Sept. 5, 8 p.m., 19000 Stevens Creek Boulevard. A purse containing approximately $1,500 in cash was stolen from the owner of a retail store while busy with a customer. Loss totaled approximately $2,100.

    Theft Via Credit Card Information--Sept. 5, 1:30 p.m., 900 block of Rose Blossom Avenue. Victim reported someone used credit information to obtain credit and charged $1,500 to an account. No suspect information was available, and the credit card company was notified.

    Burglary--Sept. 5, 11:30 a.m., 21800 block of McClellan Road. A high school teacher reported that someone stole a school laptop computer from a classroom valued at approximately $2,000.

    Recovered Stolen Vehicle--Sept. 5, 3:30 p.m., 10300 block of N. Wolfe Road. An unoccupied car in a secluded area of a retail parking lot was discovered by sheriff's deputy to be stolen from East Palo Alto.

    Petty Theft--Sept. 5, 1:30 p.m., 20800 block of Stevens Creek Boulevard. Suspect placed nutritional aids from supermarket in a bag and exited store without paying for them. Suspect was placed under arrest for shoplifting, was cited and released.

    Grand Theft--Sept. 6, 10:05 a.m., 10100 block of North Wolfe Road. Unknown suspect stole 24 bras from retail store valued at $912.

    Residential Burglary--Sept. 6, 8:30 p.m., 21000 block of Columbus Avenue. Victim said someone entered home through an opened garage door while they were sleeping and stole approximately $380 in cash and property.

    Vandalism--Sept. 4, 4:40 p.m., 10300 Greenwood Court. Unknown suspect scratched paint on victim's vehicle with unknown object.
