Bradlyn was honored for his long services as a volunteer for Senior Adult Legal Assistance, a group giving free or inexpensive legal aid to low-income seniors. Correction A news brief in the Sept. 3 issue of The Courier reported the wrong day on which Cupertino resident John Crossman died after a tragic accident. Crossman died Aug. 28 after the car he was working on rolled off a ramp on top of him. His wife, Dawn Crossman, also reported inconsistencies between the police report contained in the news item and her knowledge of the facts. She said the car, which was on a ramp and also held secure by a metal weight behind a tire, somehow slipped out of gear as her husband worked on the car. She also said her husband did not have a pail on his chest, as reported, and that he did not die instantly, but passed away after he was transported to Valley Medical Center.
