The Cupertino CourierSheriff's ReportThe following incidents were culled from reports filed by deputies at the Sheriff's Westside Substation. Auto burglary--Oct. 27, 7:50 p.m., Vallco parking lot. The rear passenger window of a car was smashed, and a briefcase with credit cards inside was stolen. A day earlier, at approximately the same time, a truck was broken into in a different part of the lot. Residential burglary--Oct. 25, 9:30 p.m., 1400 block of Primrose Way. A rear bedroom window was pried at the lock until the glass broke. Some Taiwanese money was stolen. On the 1300 block of Primrose at about the same time, another house was broken into and ransacked, but nothing was missing. Assault with deadly weapon--Oct. 23., 3:06 p.m., 10100 Wolfe Rd. A manager of a department store witnessed two women take portable phones from the store to a van with other women waiting inside. One woman dropped the phones as she was being chased by the manager. The manager was nearly hit by the van as it sped away. Armed robbery--Oct. 21, 6:15 p.m., bus stop near the corner of Stelling Road and Stevens Creek Boulevard. A man was accosted by two men in their late teens or early 20s who were demanding money. When the man refused, one of the suspects put an open folding knife to the man's left cheek. After the man gave up his wallet, the suspect kicked the man in the stomach with his knee and shoved the man into the bench. The two fled on foot.
