The Cupertino CourierSheriff's ReportThe following incidents were culled from reports filed by deputies at the Sheriff's Westside Substation. Under the influence of stimulants--Nov. 3, 2:55 p.m., 10100 block of N. Wolfe Road. A woman called sheriff's deputies from the pay phone at a business to report that her boyfriend was missing. When a deputy arrived on the scene, the woman displayed symptoms of stimulant use. She admitted she had been "smoking crank [methamphetamine] all day." She also said she had been a daily user of about half a gram of crank for the past year. Later her boyfriend showed up, also displaying symptoms of stimulant use. Both were arrested. While at the same business, the manager exhibited symptoms of stimulant use; a broken narcotic smoking pipe was found in his backpack. He was also arrested. Auto burglary--Nov. 2, 9:10 a.m., 900 block of Bubb Road. Three cars at the same residence were broken into; in all three cases the stereos were stolen. Not far from that location, two other cars were broken into, one on Rucker Drive and one on Columbus Avenue. Assaulting a peace officer--Nov. 1, 1 a.m., 20600 block of Craig Court. A deputy responding to a disturbance call at a home found a party that he determined was out of control and needed to be shut down. When he asked one party-goer a question, she responded with obscenities. As he tried to escort her away from the party, she swung at his face with a closed fist. Residential burglary--Nov. 3, 7:10 p.m., 10200 block of Vicksburg Dr. A home was broken into and ransacked. Cash, jewelry and audio equipment were stolen. Threatening phone calls--Oct. 31, 9 p.m., 10100 block of N. Stelling Road. A church office had been receiving phone calls from an unknown man who said he disagreed with the church. He used obscenities and threatened to fire-bomb the building. Someone at the church made a tape of a call and handed it over to deputies as evidence.
