The following incidents were culled from reports filed by deputies at the sheriff's Westside Substation.
Auto Burglary—Feb. 1, 6:30 p.m., Lockwood Drive and Alcalde Road. Unknown person(s) entered a locked vehicle by smashing the side window. They stole the detachable face of the in-dash stereo system.
Auto Burglary—Feb. 1, 10:10 a.m., 10700 block of Alderbrook Lane. Sometime during the night, unknown person(s) entered a locked vehicle by smashing the side window. The crooks stole the in-dash stereo system, subwoofer and amplifier.
Minors Drinking and in the Park After Hours—Jan. 30, 11:55 p.m., Stelling Road near McClellan Road. A deputy on routine patrol contacted two 16-year-olds in the park after hours. They had an alcoholic beverage and were drinking. The teens were cited and released to their parents.
Annoying a Minor—Jan. 29, 8;40 a.m., Loree and Judy avenues. An 11-year-old girl was walking to school when a man drove up in his car and began asking her for directions. The girl ignored his requests to come over to the car. When she looked at him she saw the man was rubbing his groin area. The girl ran away. The man is described as possibly a Hispanic male, in his mid-30s, cleanshaven, with a light-brown complexion, short black hair, and an oval face. He spoke with no accent. The car is described as a newer sedan-type car and tan in color.
Auto Burglary—Jan. 29, 7 a.m., 22300 block of Bahl Street. Sometime during the night, unknown person(s) entered a locked vehicle by smashing a side window. They stole a purse that was on the front seat and in plain view.
