Colt baseball

The Sunnyvale­ Cupertino Pony-Colt baseball program will hold tryouts for its Colt division on May 1, 9:30 a.m.­noon, at Ortega Park in Sunnyvale. The teams are open to players ages 15­16. Registration can be completed at either one of the tryout sessions.

Golf tourney

The first annual golf tournament to benefit the Santa Clara University men's soccer team will be held at the Cinnabar Hills Golf Club in San Jose on May 18, with a shotgun start set for 1:30 p.m.

The tournament will be followed by a dinner, awards ceremony, auction and raffle held inside the banquet room at the golf course. The $250 registration fee includes green fees and cart, range balls, lunch and dinner. The cost is $50 for dinner only.

Strikkers tryouts

Rod, car show

The third annual Street Rod and Classic Car show will be held May 22, 9 a.m.­3 p.m., at San Jose City College on Moorpark Avenue in San Jose. The event is free to the public.
