The following incidents were culled from reports filed by deputies at the sheriff's Westside Substation.
Identity Theft—June 16, 7:00 p.m., Firethorn Drive at Cedarbrook Terrace. And unknown person used an individual's personal information to gain access to his credit card and bank account
Attempted Burglary (Commercial)—June 19, 11:30 a.m., S. Blaney Avenue. An unknown person(s)tried to use a pry tool to open rear door of a business but was unsuccessful in getting in. No fingerprints were found.
Misuse of Handicapped Placard—June 19, 6:45 p.m., Stevens Creek Boulevard at Saich Way. A woman parked her vehicle in a handicapped parking area and had a valid handicap placard on her back window. The placard was issued to her grandfather who was neither in the car, nor close by. The placard was taken for evidence, and the woman was cited and released at the scene.
Misappropriate found property—June 19, 9 p.m., Stevens Creek Boulevard at Saich Way. A woman and her husband went to a store in Vallco Fashion Park, then headed to another store. After coming home she realized she did not have her purse. She believes she lost it near the food service area in the second store. The store and parking lot were checked, but the purse was not recovered.
Burglary/Grand Theft—June 19, 11:00 p.m., Sakura Way. An unknown person (s) climbed through the bedroom window of a residence and stole two laptops, a wallet, and other electronic devices. The items' value came to a total of $2500. The burglar is still at large.
