Sheriff's Report

The following incidents were culled from reports filed by deputies at the sheriff's westside substation.

Possession of Marijuana--May 28, 12:20 a.m., Mary Avenue. A sheriff's officer stopped a vehicle for a moving violation. The officer smelled marijuana in the vehicle and searched it. The search yielded marijuana, a broken glass pipe and plastic baggies. The officer cited and released the driver at the scene.

Burglary (Residential)--May 27, 11:45 p.m., Pacifica Drive. A person(s) entered a residence through an unlocked bedroom window. The person(s) searched the bedroom and an office, taking about $2,000 in jewelry and cash. The person(s) responsible is at large.

Possession of Marijuana--May 27, 10:45 p.m., McClellan Road. A driver had 8 grams of marijuana and two cans of beer in his car. One of the beers belonged to a minor. The driver was released at the scene and the minor cited and released to his parents.

Possession of Methamphetamine--May 26, 11:06 p.m., Loree Avenue. A sheriff's officer talked with a man who displayed symptoms of being under the influence of methamphetamine. The man voluntarily gave the officer his wallet, which contained a small amount of methamphetamine. The officer arrested the man on charges of possession.

Possession of Marijuana for Sale--May 26, 7:07 a.m., Tantau Avenue. A sheriff's officer stopped a vehicle for a moving violation. The officer smelled marijuana in the vehicle. A vehicle search yielded plastic baggies and 11 bags of marijuana under a seat. A person in the vehicle also had $445. The officer transported the person to the main jail.
