Sheriff's Report

The following incidents were culled from reports filed by deputies at the sheriff's westside substation.

Robbery--June 23, 7:30 a.m., Stevens Creek Boulevard. A person entered a store brandishing a firearm. The person grabbed a woman and forced her to the rear of the business to open a safe. The robber took $400 in cash and is at large.

Child Neglect--July 22, 2:54 a.m., Finch Avenue. Five female juveniles were found out past curfew. Two were cited and released to their parents. The parents for the others could not be located, and the three were put in a children's shelter.

Possession of Marijuana--July 21, 4:20 p.m., Stevens Creek Boulevard. A sheriff's officer stopped a vehicle for a violation and smelled marijuana in the vehicle. A search of the vehicle yielded approximately 13.2 grams of marijuana and hydromorphone. The officer arrested the driver on charges of possession and booked him.

Drunk in Public/Mobile Vending--July 20, 6:54 p.m., N. Blaney Avenue. A person sold strawberries without a permit. The person was intoxicated and did not know where he was. He was booked into the main jail.

Under the Influence/Possession--July 20, 3:51 p.m., Prospect Road. A sheriff's officer stopped a vehicle for expired tags. The driver displayed symptoms of possession of a stimulant. The officer searched the vehicle with consent and found a glass pipe of the type used to smoke methamphetamine. The officer booked the person into jail.

Burglary (Residential)--July 17, 1:30 p.m., Corte Madera Lane. A person entered a residence through an unlocked bedroom window and took bottles of alcohol valued at $60.
