Sheriff's Report
The following incidents were culled from reports filed by deputies at the sheriff's westside substation.
Robbery/Assault--Sept. 3, 9 p.m., Miller Ave. Two juveniles forcibly took a skateboard from another person. The juveniles struck the person in the head with the skateboard multiple times. They then left the scene with the skateboard. Two juveniles believed to be responsible were booked into juvenile hall.
Theft of Mail--Sept. 2, 10:30 a.m., Trinity Spring Court. People reported mail missing from their unlocked residential mailboxes. There are approximately 18 residences on the cul-de-sac. Police alerted the Postal Inspection Service.
Stolen Vehicle--Sept. 1, 10:30 a.m., Tonita Way. A person discovered her vehicle missing from the front of her home. The next day, walking to the store, she found the vehicle in a parking lot two blocks away. There were no missing items in the vehicle and nothing had been broken. The person(s) responsible are at large.
Attempted Burglary--Sept. 1, 3:30 p.m., East Estates Drive. An unidentified person(s) attempted to break into a residence. The person(s) responsible is at large.
Theft by credit card--Aug. 31, 3:10 p.m., Rose Blossom Drive.
A person received a call from an online sales company informing him of a charge made on a credit card. The person stopped the charge and closed the account. He later received another charge on the closed account. The person did not know the name on the shipping information, which is in Nigeria. The person responsible is at large.
