Public art planned for office buildingDevelopers of a new two-story office building at 10900 Tantau Ave. are looking to fulfill their public art requirement with more than just a square gray fountain.
Ron Tate of Tate Diversified Development Inc. has sought to have six pieces of artwork by Seattle-based kinetic sculptor Andrew Carson at the new site.
Each artwork will consist of 12- to 14-foot-high bronze pillars with colorful copper and glass pieces that move with the wind.
The pieces will be displayed near the front entry of the building.
Construction of the new building on the 6.6-acre site is expected to start in April or June.
