    LGHS building projects community meeting

A community meeting to discuss current building projects on the Los Gatos High School campus will be held Jan. 6 at 7 p.m. in Los Gatos High School's library.

The public is welcome to give input on the new science and home economics building, the planned demolition and rebuilding of the language arts wing and other projects.

SAT results come in with great results

The results of last year's testing on the Scholastic Assessment Tests are in and are nothing short of superb, according to district superintendent Cynthia Ranii.

Eighty-one percent of Los Gatos High School's class of 1999 took the SAT last year. The senior class averaged 572 on the verbal portion and 588 on the math portion of the test. The composite score of 1160 is higher than the state average of 1011 and the national average of 1016.

    Marching band brings home first

The Los Gatos High School Wildcat marching band on Nov. 20 competed in the Fairfield Tournament of Champions. The band played musical selections from El Cid and brought home first-place awards for drum major and solo twirler.

    Los Gatos graduate studying abroad

California State University Chico student Travis Bianchi of Los Gatos is studying at the University of Florence, Italy, for the 1999-2000 school year through International Programs.

Bianchi, a construction management major, will earn resident academic credit at CSU Chico while in Italy.
