Hyman of Los Gatos is the new medical director of the Valley Radiology Medical Associates outpatient office at 123 DiSalvo Ave. in San Jose. A member of the medical community in Santa Clara County for more than 25 years, Hyman is an active staff member of the radiology departments of Community Hospital of Los Gatos, Valley Medical Center, Alexian Brothers Hospital and Santa Teresa Community Hospital/Kaiser Permanente. Hyman's practice is general radiology, with a particular interest in the use of ultrasound technology. Valley Radiologist Medical Groups, Inc. is a full-service medical imaging organization with facilities throughout the Bay Area. Youth Science Institute receives education grant The nonprofit Youth Science Institute has received a $5,000 grant from Intel Corporation to provide science education programs in three Santa Clara County school districts: San Jose Unified, Alum Rock and Franklin-McKinley. The YSI operates science and nature centers at Saratoga's Sanborn-Skyline County Park, Los Gatos' Vasona Lake County Park, and Alum Rock Park in San Jose. Through these centers, it offers natural science education classes, workshops and hikes for different age groups on topics including animals, birds, ponds, plants, insects, spiders, arthropods, dinosaurs, geology, creeks, ecosystems and Native American history.
