History Club installs new officers

The History Club of Los Gatos, now in its 101st year, has installed new officers for the 1998-99 membership year. They are Elsie Matt, president; Fran Alfson, first vice president; Diane Crawford, second vice president; Betty Schumacher, treasurer; Jocelyn Myers, recording secretary; and Betty Ermert, corresponding secretary.

The club's objective is to promote study among women, to aid in the support of worthy causes and to advance the best interests of the community. At its monthly meetings, held every third Wednesday, the club offers programs of historical and cultural interest. New members are welcome.

To continue its support of local charities and community projects, the club also holds fundraisers. The next major benefits are a rummage sale, planned for March 3 and 4, and a fashion show and tea, planned for April 28. For more information about the History Club of Los Gatos, call 354-9825.
