Rotary Art Show screenings are coming up this month
Screening of artwork for the 42nd annual Saratoga Rotary Art Show takes place Jan. 29 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the campus of West Valley College. Submissions can include paintings in all mediums, sculpture, jewelry, ceramics, photography, fiber arts and crafts.
This year's judges are Lissa Jones, a corporate art consultant; Charles Escott, a designer of and expert in handmade paper and jewelry design; Susan Hillhouse, curate of art at the Triton Museum in Santa Clara; and Carol Hutchinson, a professional artist who specializes in oil painting.
The Saratoga Rotary Art Show is always held the first Sunday of May, which this year falls on May 7.
Proceeds benefit the Rotary Trust Fund, which supports a variety of organizations and groups, including Saratoga High School, Villa Montalvo, the Saratoga Senior Center, CityTeam Ministries, the Make-A-Wish Foundation and the American Red Cross.
