Obscene phone calls--Jan. 3, 4:58 p.m. on Johnson Avenue. A caller reported receiving obscene calls many times over the past few days. Police gave advice and took a report.
Grand theft--Jan. 4, 12:14 a.m. on W. Main Street. A fannypack containing two Australian passports and a wallet was taken from a business. Police took a report.
Exploding toilet--Jan. 4, 9:30 a.m. on N. Santa Cruz Avenue. A toilet exploded and water was flooding a building; the caller could not shut it off. Police transferred the call to the Central Fire District, which responded.
Person calling for help--Jan. 4., 1:53 p.m. on S. Santa Cruz Avenue. A caller heard a man in a public restroom "screaming at the top of his lungs." Police found no one in the restrooms. The screaming turned out to be part of a therapy session elsewhere in the building.
