    University Ave. will close temporarily

    University Avenue, between Buena Vista Avenue and south of the Lark Avenue business parks, will be closed on March 19 and 20. From 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., the road will be closed to all through traffic, with posted signs for detours. The road closure is part of the town's roadside clean-up process, as brush and debris will be removed. For more information, call the Los Gatos Parks and Public Works Department at 408.399.5770.

    Transit fares and schedules could change

    The Valley Transportation Authority will hold two public meetings on March 19 to discuss proposed fare and service changes to its bus system. Cash fares are proposed to increase by five cents to 25 cents; day passes will cost an additional 25 cents to $1. The bus routes affecting Los Gatans include Line 28, which ends at Winchester and Knowles; Line 60, from Los Gatos to Great America; and Line 62, Los Gatos to Piedmont Hills.     Town will hold Easter egg hunt

    The Los Gatos-Saratoga Recreation Department holds its sixth annual Bunny Fun Hunt Saturday, March 23, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Los Gatos High School lawn. There will be free candy hunts, carnival games, a petting zoo, pony rides and an astro jump.

    Hunt times will vary depending on the age of the participants. Children 2 years old and younger, along with their parents, will hunt at 10:45 a.m.; 3- to 4-year-olds at 11:30 a.m.; kids between the ages of 5 and 7 at noon; and 8- to 10-year-olds at 12:30 p.m. For more information, call 408.354.8700.
