    On Campus

    Lexington lasagna, auction planned

    Lexington School hosts a lasagna dinner and silent auction on April 1 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Loma Prieta School on Summit Road. Tickets cost $7.50 for adults and $5.00 for children and may be purchased by calling 408.353.4860. The event is the school's largest annual fundraiser and benefits the Lexington Home and School Club.

    'Mathletes' participate in countywide contest

    Seventh- and eighth-grade students from 18 schools throughout the county participated in the Santa Clara Valley Seventeenth Annual Mathcounts Contest at San Jose State University, Feb. 5. Fisher Middle School students Walter Prows and Natalie Ku, members of the FMS team, each received a first-place award at the competition.

    Kindergarten literacy program gets a boost

    The Community Foundation of Silicon Valley announced on March 8, that it has raised $670,000 for its Kindergarten Take Home Book Program. The program provides high-quality, hard-bound reading books for kindergarten children to take home from school, share with their families, and exchange for a new book the following week. Every kindergartner in the Santa Clara Valley, including those in Los Gatos, benefits from the program.
