    Youth Football

    Sign-ups for the 2000 Los Gatos Pop Warner football season will be held March 22, 6-9 p.m., in the cafeteria at Fisher Middle School.

    Pop Warner offers programs for boys and girls ages 7-15. Football teams are grouped according to weight and age, and cheer squads are grouped by age.

    The organization will add a new instructional, non-competitive entry-level division this season for boys ages 7-9 weighing between 45-85 pounds.

    Soccer Tryouts

    Tryouts for a boys under-10 Class 3 soccer in the Los Gatos United Soccer League will be held on March 25 and 26, noon-2 p.m. each day, at Fisher Middle School. For more information, contact coach Toby Lehman at toby_lehman@yahoo.com or at 408.354.4588.

    Coach needed

    Willow Glen head varsity field hockey coach Peggy Booth is looking for a junior varsity coach for the fall season. Call Booth at 408.535.6330.

    Rowing Classes

    The Los Gatos Rowing Club will hold introductory classes for adult coxswains. Call 408.566.9406.

    Coaching Clinic

    Veteran high school football coach Butch Cattolico, who has headed up a successful program at Los Gatos High School for the past two decades, will be among the 10 top-notch football coaches to speak at the CCSA Clinic of Champions on March 25, 12:30 p.m., at Sacred Heart High School in Atherton.

    The clinic is recommended for high school and youth coaches, but is open to the general public. The cost is $35 per person or $25 per person for groups of five or more.
