    Council OKs sign, nixes one-way

Councilmembers killed a one-way proposal for Pageant Way and Villa Avenue March 15. More than 120 residents of the College Avenue area signed a petition against the proposal, which would have created 15 more parking spaces on the two streets.

"There's a lot of people up there and not much room to come and go," said hillside resident Dot Perry.

The council also scheduled another hearing on April 19 for a three-way stop sign at College Avenue and E. Main Street.

    Cunneen to host open meetings

Assemblyman Jim Cunneen will host a town hall meeting Saturday, April 10 from 11 a.m. to noon at Union Middle School, 2130 Los Gatos-Almaden Road.

Cunneen will be on hand to give an update on what's going on in Sacramento and answer questions.

Another meeting is scheduled for Saturday, April 17, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Los Gatos Neighborhood Center, 208 E. Main St.

    Call 369-8170.

Old Town back to the council

The Town Council is scheduled to make a decision at its April 5 meeting about permitting modifications to the original plans for Old Town .

At its last meeting, councilmembers set up a special subcommittee to lead a March 29 study session to help resolve issues that have arisen due to changes made to the rear elevation to the rear of the new buildings west of University Avenue and other minor design changes made to the buildings.

Outdoor seating at Steamer's will be discussed at an upcoming meeting of the Planning Commission.

    Call 354-6872.
