    Vandalism--March 22, 12:07 p.m., on Los Gatos Boulevard. An unknown suspect cut the phone lines to a business from the outside.

    Drunk in Public--March 22, 11:54 p.m., on W. Main Street. An employee was trying to close a restaurant for the night but couldn't because a customer was passed out at the bar. Police arrested the man for being drunk in public.

    Dangerous Animal--March 22, 2:59 p.m., on St. Joseph Hill. A resident saw an approximately 70-pound mountain lion on St. Joseph Hill. The lion looked at the resident before walking away.

    Petty Theft--March 22, 10:32 a.m., on Lyndon Avenue. A cellular phone was taken from a business by an unknown suspect.

    Vandalism--March 22, 8:33 a.m., on More Ave. A resident's mailbox was knocked down sometime during the night.

    Dangerous Animal--March 22, 6:52 a.m., on Belgates Road. A deer that was foaming at the mouth was seen along a fence on one side of a school building.

    Attempted Burglary--March 21, 11:44 a.m., on N. Santa Cruz Avenue. The rear door to a camera store was pried open sometime during the night. No entry was made.

    Newspaper Rack Fire--March 20, 10:15 p.m., on N. Santa Cruz Avenue. A newspaper rack in front of a business was on fire on the sidewalk.

    Attempted Burglary--March 20, 9:06 a.m., on Thruston Street. A window on a house under construction appeared to be pried open. A ladder was leaning against the house but nothing was taken.

    Petty Theft--March 19, 7:05 p.m., on Downing Oak Court. A $250 18-speed mountain bike was taken from a garage.

    Petty Theft--March 19, 6:37 p.m., on Pennsylvania Avenue. A resident's 3-foot tall decorative cement urn by his front door was stolen.

    Petty Theft--March 18, 6:05 p.m., on E. Main Street. Clothing was taken from a shelf in an athletic facility.

    Petty Theft--March 18, 7:49 a.m., on University Avenue. An unknown suspect unscrewed the porch light to a house and took a $100 wicker chair off the front porch.

    Vandalism--March 17, 1:41 p.m., on S. Santa Cruz Avenue. An unknown suspect placed graffiti near the front doors of a post office.
