The San Jose Opera Guild has named Los Gatos resident Alice Skurko as guild president at a recent officer installation luncheon at La Rinconada Country Club. Other new officers include Joan Shomler, vice president; Margaret Body, recording secretary; Bill Keig, treasurer; and Angelo Cono, parliamentarian.
The San Jose Opera Guild is a nonprofit organization that promotes and supports an interest in opera through public presentations, lectures at the Los Gatos History Club and financial support to both San Jose and San Francisco opera companies and singers.
