Los Gatos Weekly-TimesOn CampusVan Meter School completes survey The Van Meter School survey is complete and indicates high student interest in computers and math. The survey was conducted by the school site council, whose members use the results to guide them in budget expenditures, program development and resource allocation. Families of 109 students completed the survey for children in kindergarten through fifth grade. The top three answers to the question "My child expresses enjoyment in the following areas" science, math or computers at every grade level. The most common response to the question "My child struggles/needs more support in the following areas" was "reading." Parents said the most positive aspects of Van Meter included the openness and enthusiasm of teachers and the individual attention their children received. Suggestions on how to "improve the quality of the Van Meter program" included adapting the curriculum to meet the needs of higher- and lower-achieving students and more P.E. Hillbrook stages annual art show Hillbrook School will hold its annual Celebration of Art May 30, 10 to 4 p.m., and May 31, noon to 4 p.m., in the Hillbrook School gym.
