Anything goes at pops concert

For their annual pops concert, the two choirs at Los Gatos High School present "On Broadway IX," May 28-29 at 8 p.m. in the Prentiss Brown Auditorium. Joining the LGHS Concert Choir and Jazz Purr is the chorus from Fisher Middle School.

This year's theme, "Anything Goes," features music from the Golden Age of Broadway through the present day. Jazz Purr has prepared a medley of songs from Smokey Joe's Cafe. The Concert Choir performs music from Disney's The Lion King and a tribute to the music of Rodgers and Hammerstein, while the Fisher Chorus sings a medley titled "On With the Show."

Director of the program is Diana Pleasant, chairwoman of the LGHS performing arts department. Tickets are $10 for reserved seats and $8 for general admission. Discount tickets are available before May 26. Proceeds benefit the LGHS music program. For information, call 354-2730 ext. 240.
