Police Report
Welfare Check--May 15, 3:01 p.m. Two small children were crying inside in a van that was parked in front of a Blossom Hill Road grocery store. There were no adults nearby. Police waited for the driver to finish her shopping, and when she returned police cited her for leaving children unattended in a vehicle.
Citizen Arrest--May 15, 12:45 p.m. A woman took the written test to receive her driver's license and was upset at the DMV because she wasn't given her paperwork back. She met police in front of the DMV because she wanted an explanation from the workers inside. An employee told police that the woman had failed the driving test three times and was caught cheating that day, so they took her test papers, tore them up and threw them away. No report was taken.
Hit and Run--May 14, 6:33 p.m. A parked car on Camino del Cerro was hit by an unknown vehicle. The owner of the parked car said that the incident had occurred within the last two or three hours. A neighbor said that the suspect was going to return with insurance information; the other driver did come back. No report was taken.
Disturbance--May 14, 5:44 p.m. A man was sitting on the steps of a W. Main Street business, singing and playing guitar. A citizen complained to police that the music was too loud and wanted the man to move along. The man agreed to avoid hitting the high notes when playing and singing, but was allowed to stay there. No report was taken.
Trespassing--May 13, 6:20 p.m. A group of unauthorized users was on a soccer field on Roberts Road. Other groups, including a youth soccer league, had paid to use the field. The group of adults kept moving from field to field as the coaches kicked them out. No report was taken.
