Summer sports camps for kids
By Dick Sparrer
The annual Los Gatos Wildcat Summer Basketball Camp returns to the high school gym in June with sessions scheduled for players ages 7-15.
The camps, under the direction of Los Gatos boys varsity coach Jim Marino, will be held June 17-21 (9 a.m.-noon each day) and June 24-28 (1-4 p.m. each day) for players ages 7-12 and June 17-21 (1-3 p.m. each day) for players ages 13-15.
Camps will emphasize fundamentals in shooting, passing, dribbling, defense and team play. There will be daily drills and games.
The camps will also feature appearances by guest coaches from throughout the Bay Area.
The cost is $95 for each session for $180 for both sessions in the 7-12 age group and $65 in the 13-15 age division. Each camper receives a T-shirt, and there will be individual competition, gifts and prizes on the final day of each camp.
For more information, call Marino at 408.354.2730, ext. 269.
