Summer school programs offered
The Los Gatos-Saratoga Department of Community Education and Recreation is offering its 16th year of summer school programs for Los Gatos, Monte Sereno and Saratoga youth. Elementary summer school runs June 24 through July 19 from 9 a.m. to noon
at Blossom Hill Elementary and Fisher Middle schools in Los Gatos and Argonaut Elementary and Redwood Middle schools in Saratoga. High school summer school, which runs from 8 a.m. to 12:25 p.m., begins June 24 and concludes the week of Aug. 2 at Los Gatos and Saratoga High schools. LG Boulevard draft plan to be discussed
The public is invited to review and comment on draft plans for Los Gatos Boulevard on May 28 from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. at the Neighborhood Center, 208 E. Main St. The plan addresses both public and private development, including land uses, facilities, streets and architecture.
The meeting, according to Planning Director Lee Bowman, is another in the "roll up your sleeves" series of public sessions that began with the design charrette in November of 1994.
The goals, policies and implementation measures to be presented include: gateways to the town and the boulevard, pedestrian-friendly orientation of public and private development and node locations identified for pedestrian activity centers.

Sanitation district keeps charges at current level
The West Valley Sanitation District Board of Directors on May 8, adopted the district's proposed budget and revenue program for the 1996-97 budget year.
The annual sewer service charge remains the same: $198 for a single-family residence.
