Police Report

Malicious mischief--Someone spraypainted the caller's vehicle overnight and tampered with the door locks. Police took a report.

Auto burglary--May 10, 11:03 a.m. on Alberto Way. Someone broke into a vehicle overnight and stole a briefcase and a portable CD player. Police took a report.

Juvenile disturbance--May 10, 9:16 p.m. on N. Santa Cruz Avenue. More than a dozen teenagers were milling around and being rowdy. Police dispersed the group.

Patrol checks--May 11, 8:27 p.m. at Spencer and Ferris avenues. A caller reported an ongoing problem with drivers running the stop sign. Police will be on the lookout.

Disturbance--May 13, 10:47 a.m. on Hernandez Avenue. A neighbor pulled out some of the caller's plants and a disagreement ensued. Police gave advice to both parties.

Suspicious person--May 14, 2:43 a.m. on University Avenue. Employees in a business were afraid to leave because a transient man was loitering nearby. Police counseled him and sent him on his way.

Theft--May 15, 10:59 a.m. on Blossom Hill Road. A man stole a bottle of vodka from a store, ran out and drove away in a silver car with a damaged driver's side. Police took a report.

Suspicious person--May 15, 3:53 p.m. at Roberts and Blossom Hill roads. A man with long blond hair and a beard was swinging a hammer at passing cars. Police searched the area but did not locate him.
