Financial planner completes course
Cathy L. Daigle, a certified financial planner and certified divorce planner employed by Plan Tech Financial of Los Gatos, completed an advanced training course in practice management for professional divorce planning at the Institute for Certified Divorce Planners in Boulder, Colo.
The course increases her qualifications as a CDP. She is also trained to provide financial information and assistance to people in divorce situations, evaluating the tax implications of property division, settlement options for dividing pensions and marital property, and the awarding of child and spousal support.
Because the United States now averages more than one million divorces each year, the Institute trains financial planners, certified public accountants and attorneys to specifically deliberate the financial needs and outcomes for couples going through divorces.
